What Are The Benefits Of Walking?

The benefits of an active lifestyle and keeping fit and healthy are well documented.

How long should you walk for?

Walking from the couch to the fridge does not count as walking. If you want to truly reap the benefits of walking, you need to try to walk for around 30 minutes at a brisk pace. 

That said, something is better than nothing. For example, if all you have time for is 15 minutes, then it is still worth doing. If you can not walk at a speedy pace in the beginning, then build up to it. Don’t be put off by a slow start; the more you do, the better (or faster) you will become. 

The benefits of walking are numerous and multifaceted. Moreover, they can be achieved in as little as 30 minutes a day. This could be your morning commute or walk to the local coffee shop on a Sunday. Do something positive for yourself and get out in the fresh air for a walk!
